Slytherin Quidditch Sweater

I dug up this project from a few years ago and thought it’d be fun to add to my collection here. I haven’t made many sweaters in my time knitting, but I must say that they’re pretty fun once you’re done, since you can actually go and wear them around. This sweater took ~3 months to make, and it’s pretty cozy. I’m kind of guessing since it was a while ago, but I’m pretty sure I made it on US size 6 needles. I used the pattern here as a guideline and modified it so that it fit better as I went, as well as added the silver lines around the waist and wrists. No fancy circular knitting or anything, just 4 individual flat pieces stitched together. I don’t play around with ribbing very often, but I am a big fan of it. Why? Mostly because it magically makes a piece of clothing fit the person wearing it by making it super stretchy. Also, I learned that you can change colors with ease; even though you’re using reverse stockinette in between the stockinette ribs sticking out, there isn’t a noticeable color change if you just make one row straight through with knit stitch:

The knit stitch row just hides itself in the back and the reverse stockinette resumes its place in front of the knit stitches. This makes for a wonky line on the inside, but hey, when does the part people don’t see matter?

So I guess that’s all there is to say on this one, as always, comments and questions appreciated below!

Finally got around to making another one of these after feeling motivated from the new movie. I’m basically just making these in order of design inspiration, so lucky Bucky got to be the next one. Overall, this design was actually very simple, and I finished the entire thing in under three hours, so I’m pretty happy with it.
